and a bit of a Semi-Newie from
Corinne Bailey Rae

This track from a 2006 self titled CD release. Interestingly, Connie was named
the number-one predicted breakthrough act of 2006 in an annual BBC poll of
music critics. The poll’s predictions subsequently came true, as she became only the
fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one.
She has been nominated for Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards, and has won
two MOBO Awards. In 2008, Rae won a Grammy Award for
"Album of the Year" for her work on Herbie Hancock’s album River:
The Joni Letters.

This week’s Myspace Artist Review section includes:

– StreetCorners(Dancing)

visit him at:
where you can read all about his extensive and diverse talents including his work in movies.

Kym Verbal
– Oh What a Blessing. This track was sent to us by Soul & Jazz-Funk writer

Kym says on her myspace page. ‘I’m just all about Singing Real Songs that deal with love,
life & reality, period. If my music can uplift you or make
you think or help you to get along, then I’m successful!!’
… and we believe that she is!

Blue Soul Groove

‘BEST OF 2007’.
The band members are Neil Warden with his guests John Burgess,

discuss the recent demise of some Smooth Jazz channels.
Catch-up with the discussions at:

on a positive note, the Professor has found a highly recommendable smooth jazz related podcast that beautifully combines music , chat and memories – The first episode features Bob James . It is called Music Conversations and is hosted by Tom Schuman of Spirogyra.

To end the show we had an extended batch of ‘Bring it Back‘ Goodies

Paul Hardcastle
