The Sax Pack – featuring smooth jazz saxophonists Jeff Kashiwa, Kim Waters, and Steve Cole. This is an amazing CD making it too difficult to just select one track to feature!
Travis Vega
Here is a fantastic young artist who exploded onto the jazz scene with his 2004 debut CD, entitled, ‘Through The Valley’. Travis is a Guitarist, producer, songwriter and composer, and, lets not forget a big Chelsea Soccer fan!. Travis, also known as ‘Smooth Axe’ became a smash hit with radio and concert goers alike. 2007 marked another chapter in Travis’s career, with the CD ‘Just Let It Flow’. (Checkout Season 2 episode 14). Now for 2008 we have been treated to his 3rd release entitled, ‘Smooth Urban Night’ and the track featured is called Latin Knights. Thanks also for the wonderful mention of our show on your recent 2 CDs it is very much appreciated. We are fans and it is a pleasure to help if we have!

Darryl Williams – Costa Rica Ft Phil Wigfall
Darryl began playing the bass guitar at the age of 13. His influences include Stanley Clarke and Wayman Tisdale. He beautifully fuses smooth-jazz , jazz funk and the Lead bass guitar. This track is from Darryl Williams first solo CD, ‘That Was Then’. The featured track is entitled: Costa Rica .
Shades of J
Shades Of J is an American Nu Soul and Spoken Word collective from Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded by lead singer and poet Janine Nash also known as Lady J. Her CD ‘Shades of J: Spoken Word Soul’ has become an underground hit both regionally and on the Web. Our personal Thanks to Don Manor who co-wrote this track with Lady J and Eric Bolden – It is called: Searchin’.

With over 20 years experience Sean can lift the sound of the bass guitar, as a lead instrument, straight into our musical hearts. His first solo CD is called ‘Tapestry’ – a diverse album with 9 unique tracks that really grow on you. There is something for everyone in Tapestry with funky rhythms to hints of rock and beautiful relaxing melodies. In relation to the latter, we’ve selected the track entitled ‘Rain’.

He remembers this Pieces of a Dream track when he just finished high school and went out to the record shops to hunt for bargains. He came across the album, bought it, took it home and played it for the first time and felt a wow!! Alex then called all his friends summoning then to come and listen to this gem of an album.
We have a special request from Garry for his Daughter Leonie and Ian for their wedding day, taking place on Friday 13th June. It is The Rippingtons track Eternity written by Russ Freeman.
Perhaps this song may become their special tune to mark this wonderful event. Congratulations to both of you and thanks to our regular listener Garry, father of Leonie for writing to us. All the very best to the happy couple, friends relatives, neighbors and guests, We are sure celebrations will be successful.

Pat Metheny –
A real musical treat from a multi-Grammy award-winning genius who has been making gr8 sounds for decades. This is a remarkable track from a 1984 album nearly of the same name by a group that featured superb artists like Steve Rodby, Pedro Anzar, Paul Wertico and Lyle Mays. The album, with its diversity , amazing quality and inspiring tones carries a review on Amazon.com that says:- ‘There are few works of art, music or film out there of which I can honestly say I am simply at a loss for adequate words to describe. ‘First Circle’ is a monumental work full of joyful energy and an indescribably heartfelt melodiousness which a true fan of music can never forget.’
We end the show from music producers Andy Ward and Paul Timothy who, as Soul Central , had a UK hit 3 to 4 years back. This track features vocals from house veteran Kathy Brown, and appears on The Chillout Session 2006 (D2) – An issue by the Ministry of Sound.
