SOUL REVUE SEGMENT
Best known to Pop and Jazz Fusion fans as the lead singer of the wonderful band SEAWIND, Pauline has had a multi-facted career performing and recording with a wide variety of Pop and Jazz artists. Born and raised just outside Hilo, Hawaii, Pauline began singing at 8, inspired by her father who was a working musician in the area. She planned on leaving the islands permanently when she attended Central Washington State College hoping for a career as a social worker, but a steady summer singing job back home prompted her to change her mind. Pauline was discovered by 3 musicians who would soon become her SEAWIND cohorts – Jerry HEY, Larry WILLIAMS and Bob WILSON.
First up, Jeremy Wall featuring Vaneese. Jeremy along with Jay Beckenstein, is a founding member of the jazz fusion band Spyro Gyra. He contributed to the group as a pianist, producer, and composer. He is currently an assistant professor in the Music Industry department at State University of New York at Oneonta known as SUNY Oneonta.
