Jamiroquai from his new CD Rock Dust Light Star.
NB on a recent BTG  I maintain what I said on that show, every track is a killer. It is one of those albums that just gets better and better on each listen.

Sergio Mendes from his new CD Bom Tempo
From the website we read that Bom Tempo expands the maestro’s use of color, texture and street derived energy, showcasing tunes from the crème de la crème of Brazilian songwriters (Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Carlinhos Brown) and longtime friend Stevie Wonder. Bom Tempo includes the singles Emorio and Magalenha.

Brian Culbertson
A track from his new entitled: CD XII. We’ve dying to play this track for the last month! We also mentioned on the recent Funk Special some information on Chuck Brown, i.e: Being one of the founders of Go-Go music. Anyway, he is on the opening track of the new Brian Culbertson CD – XII (12 in Roman numerals).  Back in May 2010, Doc had the honour of meeting and interviewing Brian Culbertson – Wow! What a dynamic and Funky guy!!

SOUL REVUE features

The Temptations
A hugely successful grammy award winning group and chart topping act for Motown Records, with over 50 years in the business and still going strong. A huge amount of history of the band can be found on Wikipedia, including their  line up and musical changes.

REDISCOVERED SEGMENT features:
